What? No comment from Pat Robertson?
CHARLIE DANIELS SUFFERS A MILD STROKE WHILE SNOWMOBILING
(NASHVILLE, TN - January 19, 2010) Legendary recording artist Charlie Daniels suffered a mild stroke while snowmobiling in Colorado on Friday, Jan. 15th. No word yet on the cause of the stroke; however, medical experts have narrowed it down to one of two possibilities: 1) high blood pressure or 2) the result of taking the Devil's golden fiddle under a deal gone bad in Georgia in 1979.
According to Biblical scholar, Reverend Pat Robertson, "Anytime you make a pact with the Devil, something bad is going to happen regardless of your intent in making the deal." This possibly explains why Charlie Daniels (aka "Johnny", the lad that put up his soul in a bet to win the Devil's golden fiddle) suffered the stroke. But when asked to explain the multiple deadly tornadoes and floods that have ravished the United States' Bible Belt in recent years, Robertson's explanation is "Oh... that's just the weather."
